CF Centers

You’ve probably been going to a CF Care Center for many years. If you haven’t, you should get in touch with one near you as soon as possible. CF Care Centers provide valuable resources, and often have an annual patient education day. This day will give you the opportunity to ask questions and talk with other patients and caregivers.

Your local CF Center can provide you with a CF Care Team. Your CF Care Team will be made up of different people that specialize in many aspects of CF care, and may include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, psychologists and social workers.

Their close coordination is important because it provides you with continuity, knowledge of treatment advances and the ability to apply these in daily management. Having a CF Care Team ensures that you know who to talk to when you need help, because you have a group of people that know you—and your specific situation—well.
