Play and Have Fun
CF is only part of your life. There are probably tons of activities, games and sports that also show the world who you are. You might be the best at jumping rope, or maybe you scored the winning goal at the game.
But did you know that sports and exercise are two good ways to have fun and take care of your CF? It’s true – you may be able to help your CF by getting the amount of exercise. As always, check with your doctor and your CF Care Team to see if exercise is right for you.
That’s because exercise may:
Help clear mucus out of your lungs
Make your lungs stronger
Give you a chance to meet other kids
Teach you about teamwork
Be a ton of fun!
Team sports and other activities are one fun way to stay active. But you might also try things like hiking, or riding your bike in your neighborhood.
Sports aren't the only way to stay active. You could act in a play, work on an art project or join a group that does something you like. Keep your body moving and remember to also keep up with your prescribed treatments. Exercise and your treatment are both good things that may help you deal with your CF.
